wananavu’s chefs take pride in creating sumptuous dishes so that your dining experience will be a memorable part of your stay on our picturesque island resort.

Glorious weather means guests often choose to dine on the deck where they can take in the panoramic views of the clear blue Pacific Ocean and the lush tropical gardens.

Breakfast

Breakfast begins at 7am and offers a buffet selection of fresh fruit, juices, cereals, muffins, fresh bread and homemade jams. Order your cooked needs from our à la carte menu and enjoy a wananavu blend of fresh coffee and a selection of teas.

Lunch
The sound of the lali drums and the wananavu Band Boys call guests to lunch at midday. Choose from a tempting menu of international cuisine. The Pacific-influenced all-day menu changes daily.

A picnic on the beach can make a romantic change and sumptuous picnic lunches are available every day.

Dinner

As the tropical sun begins to set in the Pacific Ocean the flares are lit, the guitars are strummed, the kava bowl is filled and dinner is served. The all-day menu is complement by a changing selection from our evening menu, featuring local and international cuisine.

Themed nights
Take part in a real Fijian experience on Lovo Night. In this traditional Fijian way of cooking the food is wrapped in banana leaves and cooked over hot stones buried under ground. You can be present at the covering and uncovering of the lovo and listen to the locals explain their traditional method of cooking and the rituals involved. Not only is this a uniquely Fijian experience but the food is also delicious. Lovo Night is accompanied by a Meke, or traditional Fijian storytelling through dance and song.

Sunset Bar

What could be more perfect than a drink on the deck while you watch the sun set and the ceremony of the lighting of the flares?

The Sunset Bar stays open until the last person leaves. Choose from our extensive list of international beers, spirits and wines. As you’re on the islands you could sample the Vonu beer or try a Bounty Rum.

Our comprehensive wine list is reasonably priced and cocktails and mocktails are available all day.

Happy Hour is from 5.30 to 6.30 each evening and remember to look out for our specials of the day.

While you’re in Fiji you want might to try Kava. The Kava bowl is always full and the staff and the Band Boys enjoy explaining the traditions associated with kava drinking and will be happy to take you through the rituals so you can have a unique Fijian experience.
